Every Piece of Art Still Amazes Me!
This is a difficult card to get a picture of. There simply is no angle that I've been able to find that captures how beautiful the card actually is. It's one of my favorites. I drew it during my 'botanical' phase. I picked this particular orchid myself. And I picked it before it had fully blossomed. So I was able to keep my mind focused on what it was GOING to look like, rather than how it appeared at any given moment. As Wayne Gretsky once said, I 'skated to where the puck was going to be." Except in this case it was an orchid. And it was beautiful. And you'll get as much joy from sending this card as you would from receiving it. It's that gorgeous.
The cards come in packages of 5.

My biggest artistic influences were my great uncle and my cousin Christine. My great uncle worked on a Clay medallion sculpture portrait of me. My cousin Christine showed me how to shade. The sun coming through the window on a candlestick. She said to look at the candlestick us if it was a photograph negative. That made sense to me.
I never really did decide that I wanted to be an artist I just was.
The advice I would give to other artists. Inspire each other. Find artists that fit and can carry each other along with positive feed back. That is what will keep you creating, painting and drawing.
