Every Piece of Art Still Amazes Me!
There's a story behind this cat. It's a sad one, but also very meaningful to me. This is Milo. My husband and I picked Milo up at an SPCA rescue event held at a National Chain Store. She was a special cat. Exactly the kind of cat our daughter in law wanted. So we drove about 100 miles to pick her up. She was a birthday gift. And she was beautiful.
Right out of the gate she was incredible. She had a great temperament. She was playful without being hurtful. She paid attention to you when you talked to her. She was very special.
But a few months after we gifted her, she developed cancer. It was heart wrenching to watch her suffer. However, she brought so much love in such a short space of time, I decided to paint her, and give our daughter in law the original.
Yes... Milo was a very special cat. And you'll fell that just by looking at the print. I did everything I could to capture her unique personality. I hope you'll enjoy owning this piece. She was, and still is, a part of our lives.
These are sold in packages of 5.

Artist
My biggest artistic influences were my great uncle and my cousin Christine. My great uncle worked on a Clay medallion sculpture portrait of me. My cousin Christine showed me how to shade. The sun coming through the window on a candlestick. She said to look at the candlestick us if it was a photograph negative. That made sense to me.
I never really did decide that I wanted to be an artist I just was.
The advice I would give to other artists. Inspire each other. Find artists that fit and can carry each other along with positive feed back. That is what will keep you creating, painting and drawing.
